VARIATION AND UNIFORMITY
Hand woven rugs or carpets can exhibit a slight range of tone within a given hue or color. Other inherent variations include size and thickness. The surface texture of hand-woven carpets and rugs can have variations including thickness of yarn which is all hand spun, particularly with natural fibers like allo. Hand-made carpets and rugs will age and patina with wear. These imperfections as a whole contribute to the beauty of a hand knotted carpet or rug.

LEGAL
Designs recognized as being public domain are always considered. However, we will not knowingly weave designs with a proven copyright. We reserve the right to change designs to comply with our ethical and legal standards. Color cannot be copyrighted. Any design where copyright is proven and we are asked to weave must be accompanied by a release from the copyright holder. Without that, we will not consider the job. Variations of designs are however considered subject to research findings. Any custom designs submitted to Noreen Seabrook for weaving and found to infringe on a registered copyright causing legal litigation to Noreen Seabrook will result in the party submitting the work covering liability or legal cost fully plus releasing Noreen Seabrook of any wrongdoing. Noreen Seabrook designs are copyrighted or copyright applied and our quality names are registered.

CHILD LABOR
We regularly inspect all six of our weaving partners to confirm no child labor is taking place. Noreen Seabrook only works with exclusively selected weavers who respect worker’s rights and the environment.

FIRE TESTING
All of our weaving has passed the standard surface flammability of carpets and rugs test (16 CFR parts 1630 & 1631). Content complies with all applicable CPSA rules and all similar rules, bans, standards, and regulations applicable to the product or shipment under any other act enforced by the commission.
